What does the research involve?

This project aims to explore alcohol advertising on social media, and specifically Facebook. We would like to invite you to complete this online survey which will explore existing alcohol advertising on Facebook and your perception of these adverts. The online survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

Why are you being asked to complete this research?

You have been invited to participate because you are a social networking sites user and between the age of 16 and 29 years old.

Consenting to participate in the project

Participation in this research is voluntary (if you don’t wish to take part, you don’t have to). Your consent is implied with the return of this survey. All information within this online survey is anonymous.

Storage of data

All study data will be stored securely in a locked office, accessible only to the research staff. Data in electronic form will be stored on a password-protected computer in a locked office.  All study data will be destroyed seven years after collection.

Results

The results of the study will be accessible to participants on the Burnet Institute website from approximately September 2015 (www.burnet.edu.au).
